This site is dedicated to serving the volunteers who work to spread the magic of Christmas by answering letters written to Santa Claus that the big man himself is unable to do.

It is our mission to utilize technology to benefit these volunteers so that the time and resources they wish to donate to these special children can reach further, accomplish more and benefit a greater number of children. Santa's Heart has achieved this by harnessing the power of the internet.

What Do We Mean By "Adopt a Letter"?

It all starts with Volunteers called "Santa's Helpers" that collect the letters written to Santa Claus from the designated Post Offices. These volunteers read, sort and then scan them into computers creating a digital image which is then uploaded into our database. This process allows other volunteers called, "Elves" to read the letters via the internet and "Adopt" a specific letter. When adopting a letter, "Elves" are taking on the responsibility to see that the letter writer receives something for Christmas. This may be gifts of your choosing or just a letter written to them from "Santa Claus" acknowledging the letter they wrote. On our site we provide sample letters from "Santa" himself which offer guidelines to follow.

What Is "Charitable Confirmation"?

This unique opportunity allows people who donate their time and resources to receive something in return. We call it "Charitable Confirmation".  With Santa's Heart, when you choose to donate your time, toys, gifts, etc.; you can actually direct where your resources will go. You can choose what neighborhood and even which letter writer gets the benefit of your generosity. This is not the "Norm" in most charitable situations.

How are Donations Handled?

If you adopt a letter and you chose to send the child a gift, you will send it directly to the child. Using the Santa's Heart system 100% of "one-to-one" donations will reach your intended recipient.

We maintain operations out of money donated that is pre-determined to be used for keeping the program alive. If you are so moved every little bit helps!  

How Can My Business Help?

There are many ways business owners can assist in helping answer letters written by children in your area. You may find it feasible to sponsor a letter drive by allowing an employee to travel to the regional post office to pick up letters, and let them use a company computer and scanner to upload them to the Santa's Heart website.

Then you and your employees could post flyers in the area that tell about how an act of kindness would brighten a young childs life.

That would be a special contribution to our cause.

There is always a need for financial support of the infrastructure. Even though our focus is to get gift donations directly to the letter writers, we can always use a little financial aid here at headquarters.

We have been blessed by some really gifted people who have donated a lot of time and energy to help keep Santa's Heart on the internet. However there are a lot of expenses that have to be paid; servers, programming, registrations and licensing, postage meter, etc.  So any donation to help keep Santa's Heart beating is greatly appreciated and is tax deductable!
